Power
-Identify the needed power for your machines.
-Identify the existing power in the properties you are looking at.
-Identify the cost that will be necessary in moving your business. Consult with an electrician.
Loading
-Determine what type of loading you will need. Do you need dock and grade or just grade?
Location
-Determine which side of town makes the most sense. Do you need to be close to your suppliers, customers, workforce, and I-10?
Air conditioning and cooling
-Determine whether your manufacturing area needs to be air-conditioned or evaporative-cooled. Does your manufacturing process require clean rooms?
Zoning
-Consult with a real estate broker that specializes in industrial real estate to find the appropriate zoning for your manufacturing process.
